Sylvester. This poor little boy, along with his friend, Tweety, was found in a dumpster. He was covered in fleas so bad, most of his hair was missing and he'd itched himself raw. We were so fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to obtain him. We've started him on special baths and medications that seem to already be helping. Sylvester is a handsome boy with the most soulful eyes and the best, slightest underbite ever! When you talk to him, he'll talk back. He is inquisitive and loves to be in the middle of any commotion. He is loving and affectionate, and has been known to give "hugs" to staff. Sylvester is great with other dogs, but seems more interested in what the humans are doing. We look forward to seeing more of his personality come through as he continues to heal and feel better.
Poor Minnie. She was relinquished to the Pasadena Shelter by her owner. We assume it has to do with her age and the fact that she's blind. This little girl was a mess when she first came to us; she was in desperate need of a good brushing and her eyes were covered with so much crust, it's a wonder she was able to close them! Although blind, she can definitely still hear. She is a happy, spunky girl with lots of life left in her. Because she came from a shelter, we do have her separated to monitor for any signs of kennel cough. Once given the ok by our vet, we'll introduce her to the others to see how she gets along.
