Gin

12 Year old Male / Available at the Rescue

Sometimes, the universe steps in at just the right moment—and that’s exactly how Gin got his second chance. This sweet old man was brought to a vet by his previous owner to be euthanized, not because he was sick or suffering, but simply because he was “too old.” Heartbreaking doesn’t even begin to cover it. But fate had other plans: another client at the clinic overheard the conversation, intervened, and saved Gin’s life. That kind soul took Gin home and reached out to us to ensure he’d be safe, loved, and given the chance he so clearly deserves. We were more than happy to welcome him with open arms—because around here, we love our seniors.

Gin is about 12 years old, a little gray around the edges, and sure, he’s got some arthritis—but don’t let that fool you. He’s still got plenty of pep in his step! He loves toys, leisurely strolls, and sunbathing like it’s a competitive sport. He’s got a curious spark and a deep appreciation for treats, and he happily soaks up all the attention he can get. He might not be scaling mountains or running marathons, but Gin still enjoys life with enthusiasm and dignity. He’s not just surviving—he’s thriving, and he’s ready to share that joyful little vibe with someone special.

Gin would do best in a calm, loving home with someone who has experience with senior dogs and understands the beauty of slower mornings and soft landings. A comfy bed, a gentle routine, a kind voice, and someone to love—that’s all he needs. He’s a trusting, sweet soul who adores people and still has so much love to give. If your heart has a senior dog-shaped space in it, Gin would be honored to fill it. Give him the forever home he’s been waiting for—and the golden years he’s always deserved. Please inquire today!
