Cera

9 Year old Female / Available at the Rescue

Despite everything she’s been through, Cera keeps on smiling. When her owner moved to an apartment that didn’t allow dogs, she found herself looking for a new home at 9 years old—a tough adjustment for any dog. At first, she made sure we knew exactly how she felt about the situation (with some choice words in pug language), but after a few days, she realized she was surrounded by love and decided to soak it all in. Now, she’s a happy, affectionate little lady who adores people, gets along with other dogs, and just wants a soft place to land.

The tough part is that Cera has a large, cancerous mast cell tumor at the base of her tail, and unfortunately, there isn’t much we can do to remove it. Due to its size and location, surgery isn’t an option, and even with surgical intervention, it would likely return quickly. For now, she’s on medication to help slow its growth, and thankfully, the cancer has not spread to her organs. We can’t predict how fast things will progress, but at this moment, Cera is still living her best life—happy, comfortable, and full of love to give.

Cera deserves a home for however much time she has left, whether that’s months or years. She’s a delightful little pug who will bring endless love, joy, and gratitude to the person willing to open their heart to her. If you have the space in your home (and your heart) to give this precious girl the refuge she deserves in her golden years, she will repay you tenfold with cuddles, devotion, and that signature pug charm. Please inquire today and let Cera spend the rest of her days knowing she is truly cherished!
